While Ithaca is our city, the name of our county is called Tompkins, and this is the larger municipal area that surrounds Ithaca. These messages may be things like street closures, important weather information, major traffic incidents or other things that local community members like you may need to be aware of. This will also be useful in the winter for notices about when you can park on the streets, as some additional parking restrictions will apply in the winter months.
